From behind the scenes to making them, FLIP Tech provides Production Services under the expert direction of Seán Baker.
Seán is a bilingual Production Manager who, over 20 years, has toured around the world while also establishing solid roots in the Toronto theatre community.
At home in virtually every house in Toronto, Seán spent his formative years at Tarragon Theatre and Toronto Free Theatre (now Berkeley Street Theatre). More recently, he was Production Manager at Roy Thomson Hall for four years and two IA negotiations; he worked seven seasons with Théâtre français de Toronto; and ten years with the Toronto International Film Festival.
In between, Seán toured Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, starring Donny Osmond, across Canada and the US for four years. He also toured Canstage's The Overcoat, by Morris Panych, from Toronto to the Barbican in London, England, The Festival Theatre in Adelaide, Australia, The St. James Theatre in Wellington, New Zealand, and The Grieghallen in Bergen, Norway.
At the Edinburgh Fringe, he built a theatre in the theatre, for Steve Lucas' installation BREATH[e]. And, for Germany's S.O.A.P. Danse, Seán managed a six-city North American tour of eight dancers and 50,000 marbles . . . there is no insurmountable challenge.
