For Immediate Release:

The Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival:
Thanks Toronto, for seeing a lot of Theatre!

After over 1200 performances by over 1200 artists in 151 companies in only 12 days, one thing is clear: Toronto loves The Fringe!
Fringers came out loud and proud this year, filling the Fringe Club, and lining the streets of downtown Toronto's west side while waiting to see shows, despite a record number of competing events around the city. With a total ticketed attendance of over 54,000 people, and 25,000 people at free events, it is no wonder this year's Fringe artists earned over $390,000 in box office revenue!

This year's new and improved Fringe Club was also a success! In its new location on the surface parking lot at Honest Ed's, the Club saw the highest bar sales in Fringe history.

Still need more Fringe? Check out The Best of The Fringe, which, over the past four years, has provided extended runs to some of the biggest hits from the Toronto Fringe Festival and returned nearly $50,000 in box office revenue to Fringe Festival Artists. This year, in addition to the regular downtown offering at the Berkeley Street Theatre, a second Best of the Fringe (with different shows!) will be offered uptown at the Toronto Centre for the Arts.
